About your guest speaker:
Harry Harris has been setting up and running businesses for over twenty years. He has taken businesses from start-up to high six-figure incomes and has used his entrepreneurial skills to take other businesses from concept to sale.
He has also seen the challenges that the small business sector face, and has used these challenges to help guide others through similar circumstances. Harry has recently used these skills to help business start-ups, and mentor established businesses through challenges and growth phases.
With an ongoing desire to learn and increase his understanding of the business environment, Harry attended University in 2012 and acquired an Honours Degree in Business Management, this was followed by obtaining a Masters degree with distinction, in Entrepreneurial Management.
This academic learning linked with over twenty years of real-world business knowledge has developed into a passion for helping small businesses understand the world in which they operate. Using entrepreneurial mindset, Harry helps untangle the complex business environment and gives small business owners a different set of tools to work with. This help is now critical in the business environment we find ourselves operating in.
Harry is currently working with apprenticeship and business training, business mentoring, speaking at schools, colleges and universities about enterprise and entrepreneurship whilst still taking his own businesses from concept to start-up.
The passion, knowledge and dedication to small business that Harry has shown, along with his academic achievements have led him to be accepted as a fellow of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, the Chartered Management Institute and the Royal Society of the Arts Manufacturers and Commerce.
Further research and application is planned to increase understanding of entrepreneurial leadership and management. This is Harry’s overwhelming passion, in his drive to help small business in the 21st century.
